About Me

I initially started my career in nutrition receiving a degree in dietetics. After working in the public health environment and the hospital, I realized that I wanted to be more involved in the care of others in addition to educating them about nutrition. I returned to school in an accelerated nursing program and immediately realized my passion for nursing.  

My nursing background is primarily in medical-surgical nursing and orthopedics. Nursing and education are a profession and a passion for me. Teaching for me has been a gift, as I learn from students and enjoy the dynamic relationship between teacher and student.
