About Me
I am a multi-state board certified family nurse practitioner (FNP) with a strong background in family medicine, primary and preventative care, urgent care, emergency triage, and chronic condition management. I returned to the academic setting after recognizing the increased need of nurse practitioners in the constantly evolving healthcare system. Additionally, I feel that the benefit of clinically practicing nurse practitioners in the education and training of future advanced practice providers cannot go understated. I pride myself in my ongoing commitment to direct patient care, along with the growth and development of future nurse practitioners.
I direct the FNP Program, and have taught at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Much of my academic focus is now concentrated in the MSN and FNP programs here at Widener University.
Outside of work, I prioritize spending time with my family and loved ones, and I always encourage my students and trainees to do the same. I enjoy running, spending time outdoors, and reading medical journals and case studies.
I am passionate about mentoring advanced practice nursing students to ensure they are appropriately prepared to transition to the role of nurse practitioner after graduation. I believe that nurse practitioners are and will continue to be vital in the safe and holistic delivery of care not only in the United States, but beyond our borders.

- Assessment and evaluation using telehealth models and strategies
- Maternal infant bonding and the controversy surrounding co-sleeping
- Coronary artery calcium screening and its role in CAD detection and prevention of adverse cardiac events
