About Me
As chair and associate professor in the Construction Management Department in the School of Engineering, I am heavily involved with the teaching, service, and research aspects of the CM department. I advise undergraduate students with curriculum and professional development. I am actively engaged in researching, writing, and speaking about construction and demolition materials stocked in urban buildings and their associated material intensities. I sit on several professional society committees with GBCA, Professional Women in Construction, USGBC Host committee for Greenbuild Philly 2024 to name a few. I am still active in the local construction industry and my network of colleagues in this region for commercial construction. I have a proven track record of connecting students in internships during their studies and entry level positions after graduation.
My skills are strongest in connecting with students through teaching, mentoring, and leveraging my local network to provide job opportunities. When I was in industry, I was responsible for all facets of project management with various CM at Risk companies in the local Philly area. This included managing budgets, schedules, and balancing competing objectives of the project team including CM, designers, and clients.
Research Interests
My research interests include construction and demolition waste flows, circular economy, material intensity profiles for urban buildings, life cycle analysis, material stock and flow analysis, and recycled construction materials. I have related publications in peer-reviewed journals and proceedings.
