About Me
I have been a practicing occupational therapist for over 20 years. My clinical experience spans across the lifespan and a multitude of clinical settings. However, I specialize in pediatrics and have held positions in early intervention, outpatient, and community settings. I continue to practice occupational therapy in a school-based setting. I remain active in the Pennsylvania Occupational Therapy Association (POTA) as the academic liaison for District V to the Philadelphia Region Fieldwork Consortium.
Before joining the faculty of Widener University in 2021 as an assistant professor and doctoral capstone coordinator, I previously served the role of academic fieldwork coordinator and assistant professor at Harcum College and adjunct professor for Widener University. My past teaching responsibilities have included assessment and intervention for infancy through young adult; conditions in occupational therapy, evidence-based practice, health promotion and wellness, and professional seminars. I earned my bachelor of science in occupational therapy from Alvernia College, my post-professional master of science in occupational therapy from Mount Mayr University, and my post-professional doctorate in occupational therapy from Mount Mary University. My doctoral work focused on the development of self-efficacy in occupational therapy students.
