About Me
I grew up in a family of teachers, so education has always been an important part of my life. What I enjoy most about teaching is seeing students grow, become more confident, and develop their own curiosity. For me, that makes teaching a meaningful profession.
In the classroom, I try to create a welcoming space where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and exploring new ideas. I also like to bring some humor into my classes. Engineering concepts can be intimidating, and sometimes a lighter classroom helps make difficult topics easier to approach.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, learning new languages, and exploring science beyond my own field. My husband also works in academia, so science and education are part of our conversations most of the time.
Research Interests
My research focuses on thermal and energy engineering, with an emphasis on battery thermal management and energy storage systems. My work includes phase change materials, heat transfer, numerical modeling, data-driven surrogate models, and optimization methods for the design and analysis of thermal systems.

Battery thermal management and battery safety, lithium-ion battery cooling, energy storage, phase change materials, heat transfer, and the use of simulation and optimization in thermal system design.
