I lead the university's award-winning communications team in the strategy and execution of all internal and external communications. We are storytellers who deliver brand-driven website feature content, social media messaging, video and photography content, the university alumni magazine, e-newsletters for specialized audiences and news media relations. Internally we produce and manage multiple e-newsletters, critical university messaging and consult with all areas of the university to improve communication. My team includes professionals based on all three of Widener's campuses.
Widener recently honored two employees with the William David Eckard Jr. Award for Distinguished Service - Mary Allen, executive director of communications, and Paula Heider, assistant to the dean for Commonwealth Law School. This award recognizes two longstanding employees who consistently demonstrate an outstanding level of service.
