About Me

My technical expertise is in the application of fiber-reinforced polymers (FRP) in concrete structures and precast sandwich panels. I'm an expert with nonlinear finite element analysis methods for ductile and brittle materials utilizing such software as ABAQUS. Past and current research is in the fields of static, creep and dynamic (blast) analyses of concrete structures.

I am an active member in the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and I am on the Aerospace Structures Division, Advanced Materials Committee. I also attend the local ASCE-SEI meetings here in Philadelphia along with membership in American Institute for Steel Construction (AISC) and American Concrete Institute (ACI). In the past I have presented papers through the National Council of Structural Engineers Association (NCSEA) and I'm an active member in the Delaware Valley Association of Structural Engineers (DVASE).

Courses that I teach include Engineering Economics, Statics, Structures, Steel Design, Concrete Design, Structural Dynamics and Structural Mechanics. I currently hold the position as Vice President and Principal Structural Engineer for a local engineering consulting firm.
