About Me

I am a scholar with extensive teaching and research experience in the classical music canon, popular music studies, film music studies, and Japanese music. I am passionate about helping students to deepen their interest in and engagement with music, improve their writing and research skills, and relate these interests to their personal and professional goals. I love getting to hear students' individual experiences with and ideas about music, learning as much from them as they do from me!
