About Me
I am a dedicated nurse educator with over two decades of clinical and academic experience. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 1997, my Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in 2014, and my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in 2022.
My clinical background is rooted in pediatric nursing, where I spent 17 years at Johns Hopkins Hospital specializing in burn care, diabetes management, and transplant nursing. These experiences shaped my commitment to evidence-based practice, interdisciplinary collaboration, and compassionate, family-centered care.
For the past 14 years, I have served in nursing education, teaching in both clinical and faculty roles. My primary academic focus is healthcare simulation, where I am passionate about creating immersive, high-impact learning experiences that bridge theory and practice, enhance clinical judgment, and prepare students for the complexities of modern healthcare.
I remain committed to mentoring future nurses, advancing simulation pedagogy, and fostering excellence in patient-centered care.
