About Me
Even before I found my way into the field of social work, I was an advocate for those underserved. It has always been innate in me to speak up on behalf of those unable to speak for themselves. Having honed this skill set as a professional in the field of social work it is my life's mission to march to the beat of my Ancestors, exemplify Black excellence, and continue the journey to fight for social justice and equity by dismantling systems within our society that perpetuates a permanent underclass!
Research Interests
- Systematic racism and how its maintained in societies
- Clinic practice in understanding the trauma experienced by Blacks across the lifespan
- Affinity circles (practice in creating safe space for race specific work)
