Students in an alcohol and drug counseling undergraduate certificate will increase their knowledge of human services, human development, addiction, and ethical behavior. They will gain the skills needed to address addiction through the lenses of diversity and access to mental health.
An allied health minor teaches students to communicate effectively in the health industry, and successfully lead their organizations in navigating internal and external change. Students will further develop career options while understanding a shared history of heath care education.
An applied supervision minor is designed for students who desire to improve their career skills in leadership, communication, and organizational effectiveness in order to assume supervisory and leadership roles in diverse corporate, service, and nonprofit settings. It is not a business minor but instead concentrates on the skills of critical thinking, ethics, and dealing with organizational stability and change.
This program may be taken in addition to a degree program by students who desire an understanding of the criminal justice system or by those in a nondegree program who have an interest in the field.
