Widener University's Experience MORE! program is a donor-funded program that provides financial assistance to Arts & Sciences students in underpaid or unpaid summer internships. Unlike other fields, humanities and social sciences are more likely to offer unpaid or underpaid internships. We believe this shouldn't be a roadblock to your success.

The Experience MORE! Advantage

  • Earn a paycheck - and experience. With Experience MORE!, you won't have to sacrifice industry experience in order to earn money. Participating students receive a stipend to subsidize their work.
  • Explore careers. A summer internship will help you think about how your major may translate to a career - and may even lead to a job offer.
  • Make industry connections. The Experience MORE! program is a perfect opportunity to make meaningful connections with colleagues in your field, setting you up for success when you enter the workforce. 
  • Gain career support. A collaboration between the College of Arts & Sciences and the Office of Career Design & Development, Experience MORE! will provide assistance with your cover letter, interview skills, and finding an impactful internship.

To apply, students should create resumes, obtain unofficial transcripts, start searching for internships, and come up with a budget for how they might use their stipend. Reach out to the office of Career Design & Development to express interest and learn more about the Experience MORE! program.
