4/18/2023

A Refugee’s American Dream recounts Leth Oun’s extraordinary life journey from surviving the Killing Fields of Cambodia to a career protecting presidents. Oun earned a degree in sociology with a minor in criminal justice from Widener University in 1998. His coauthor, Joe Samuel “Sam” Starnes, the former editor of Widener Magazine, met Leth in 2011 when he wrote a profile of him for the magazine.
