CEU: Understanding Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy A Therapist’s Introduction

Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy is an evolving treatment approach that combines the clinical effects of ketamine with intentional psychotherapeutic support. This introductory training will provide therapists with a foundational understanding of ketamine, the different ways it may be administered, and its potential application in treating certain mental health conditions. Participants will also learn how therapists can consult with, prepare, guide, and support clients who are considering or currently participating in ketamine treatment.

  • Registration: Registering is the only way to receive CEUs. If you would like to attend but do not need CEUs, you may attend for free! Advance registration is required for all attendees. (Widener SW Alumni: please contact socialwork@widener.edu for discount coupon code).

CEU events and CEUs are free for current Widener students, faculty, and field instructors. Widener alumni need to pay $10; everyone else, $25. After the event, you will be emailed your certificate.

About the presenter(s): 
Dr. Sophia Brandstetter LCSW, PsyD is the Director of The Ko-Op, a groundbreaking psychotherapy treatment center providing access to psychedelic healing using Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy. Dr. Brandstetter is also Director of Growth for Change and co-Director of Ketamine Kollaborations. 

Diane Nachamkin is a Nurse Practitioner with over 30 years of experience in cardiology, caring for patients with heart disease in both hospital and outpatient settings. Throughout her career, Diane has worked with individuals facing life-altering and critical illness, often witnessing the emotional trauma that can remain long after medical stabilization. Her own experience with breast cancer also deepened her interest in integrative and alternative approaches to healing, including mindfulness, acupuncture, yoga, and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy. Today, Diane serves as a medical provider at The Ko-Op, where she conducts medical screenings and supports safe, ethical, and innovative ketamine treatment for clients across Pennsylvania. In this role, she collaborates with clinicians to help make Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy accessible to appropriate patients within a thoughtful and medically informed model of care.
