Join this call to action for public education justice! Find inspiration in the film screening of the Emmy-nominated 70 minute documentary "Divided Attention: When the Children Who Need the Most Receive the Least". Following the film, there will be a panel discussion and small focus groups with Education Law Center, POWER Metro, Penn GSE Coalition for Educational Equity, The Juvenile Law Center and education advocates.
"Divided Attention", directed by Stephanie Ramones, follows four students from Toby Farms, a public middle school in the historically underfunded Chester Upland School District, as they learn and practice mindfulness amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the school to prison pipeline, and the threat of full charter takeover.
