Hair story: untangling the roots of black hair in America

This reading group is open to all Widener faculty & staff and is a forum for discussion and intergroup dialogue, with the goal of improving our individual understanding of cultures, identities, histories, and communities. We hope that this increased interpersonal and community awareness will help in building and supporting an inclusive campus culture.

We will discuss the following book, Hair Story: Untangling the Roots of Black Hair in America by Ayana Byrd & Lori L. Tharps.

Although the discussion is informal and inclusive, the meeting is planned and facilitated by Molly Wolf, Librarian, and Kate Goodrich, Associate Professor of Biology.
