Alumni, family and friends brought the Widener Pride to the Sunshine State for the annual alumni day at Phillies spring training hosted by the Office of Alumni Engagement.

More than 110 alumni and guests attended to cheer on the Phillies at BayCare Park in Clearwater.

Nick Manno ’76 was one alumnus in attendance enjoying the festivities, food and the Phillie Phanatic with friends and family.

“Widener's alumni spring training game in Clearwater was such an incredible event, as always!” said Manno. “A special treat is having the Phanatic come to our section for photos, which is truly a memorable experience.”

Manno continued, “Having these alumni events is a great way to stay connected to Widener. These events are an ideal platform to network if you are still working in your field. The alumni staff put on a great event, and we can’t wait for next year! Go Phils – Go Pride!”

This year’s visit to Florida also featured the addition of a Ft. Myers-area happy hour where alumni from near and far were able to connect.
