Alpha Phi Omega

Alpha Phi Omega is a co-ed service fraternity built on the principles of the Scout Oath and Law. We strive to cultivate leadership, develop friendships, and facilitate service within our chapter and the Widener community as a whole. Through our three Cardinal Principles of Leadership, Friendship, and Service, we are able to give back to our four C's: Chapter, Campus, Community, and Country.

Alternative Spring Break (ASB)

The Alternative Spring Break Program is a student-run organization that offers life-changing opportunities to spend spring break on service trips helping people and communities around the country.

Amnesty International

Open to:

Undergraduate students

The Widener chapter of Amnesty International is dedicated to ensuring people throughout the world are guaranteed their basic human rights. The group meets to discuss current issues related to human rights abuses, brings in speakers, and engages in advocacy campaigns. It is open to students of any major who are interested in furthering the cause of global human rights.

Coalition of Occupational Therapy Advocates for Diversity (COTAD)

Occupational Therapy Students

The Coalition of Occupational Therapy Advocates for Diversity (COTAD) is a nonprofit organizations that serves as one of the world's premier occupational therapy institutions. Focused on addressing issues of systemic racism and oppression, occupational injustice, healthcare equity, and educational decolonization, Widener is pleased to have COTAD join the community. 

Gamma Eta Rho – A National Honor Society in Human Sexuality

Open to:

Graduate students in human sexuality studies program only

The mission of Gamma Eta Rho is to encourage and recognize excellence in intellectual achievement, critical inquiry, and creative thought relating to all aspects of human sexuality. The Society seeks to help students develop meaningful goals for their roles in society; to foster professional relationships and growth; and to advance the fields of human sexuality research, therapy, and education.

Pro Bono National Honor Society

Open to:

Undergraduate and graduate students

The Pro Bono National Honor Society recognizes those undergraduate and graduate students who demonstrate commitment to providing underserved clients and communities with quality healthcare services in their field of study while maintaining the standards and requirements of their curriculums and their professions. The Pro Bono National Honor Society aims to encourage the development of altruism and social responsibility.

Psychology Students for Social Responsibility

Open to:

Graduate students in PsyD program only

Psychology Students for Social Responsibility (PsySSR) is a student group formed under the national organization, Psychologists for Social Responsibility (PsySR), to promote social justice as clinical psychologists in training within IGCP. PsySR includes six related programs to advance social justice through the lens of psychology, addressing human rights, climate change/sustainability, violence/war, peacebuilding, social health/wellbeing, and education.

Young Americans for Liberty (YAL)

Open to:

Undergraduate students

Young Americans for Liberty is the largest, most active, and fastest-growing pro-liberty organization on America’s college campuses. This organization seeks to identify, educate, train, and mobilize young people committed to winning on principle and to gain a stronger appreciation for the virtues of capitalism.
