About Me

I am an Assistant Clinical Professor and Co Director of Fieldwork Education in Widener University’s Institute of Occupational Therapy Education program. I completed my BS in Occupational Therapy at Thomas Jefferson University in 2002 and then my post professional Doctorate of Occupational Therapy at Rocky Mountain University in 2013. At Rocky Mountain University, my research focused on the implications of sleep, recovery and length of stay for the critically ill patient in the ICU.

Before joining the faculty at Widener University, I worked as the Inpatient Rehabilitation Manager for Cooper University Health Care. My clinical experience has been primarily in adults working in acute care, rehabilitation and accreditation. I maintain specialty certifications in Lymphedema, Stroke Rehabilitation, Brain Injury and Dementia. I enjoy developing educational material around experiences both clinically and professionally to ensure my students are successful and future occupational therapy leaders.

Specialty Certifications: Certified Lymphedema Therapist, Certified Stroke Rehabilitation Specialist, Certified Brain Injury Specialist, Certified Dementia Practitioner

Media Expertise: Acute Care, Intensive Care Unit, Home Health Care, Upper Quarter and Hand Rehabilitation, Stroke and Brain Injury, Dementia, Lymphedema

Research Interests

My clinical research interests relate to providing best practice and evidence to enhance occupational therapy practice in the acute care, rehabilitation and stoke and brain injury populations.
