About Me
I am always looking for ways to learn and grow personally and professionally. My journey in healthcare began at bedside as a nurse in a high acuity step down unit, which laid the foundation for a decade-long career in the Intensive Care Unit. My years in critical care taught me the importance of split decision making, technical precision, and compassionate patient advocacy. In 2010, I found my passion for teaching while guiding students through clinical rotations, labs, and simulation at Delaware County Technical schools. Upon completion of my master's degree, I joined Widener as the Assistant Director for Simulation.
As the Director for Simulation, I get to use my creative side to develop patient scenarios for students that closely resemble real world situations. I am dedicated to providing a "safe to fail" environment where students can build confidence and competence.
