Start Your Widener Journey Early with the 1821 Experience
Hosted by the Office of Student Inclusion & Belonging (OSIB), the 1821 Experience Pre-Orientation Program helps incoming students transition into college life before general orientation begins.
Taking place Thursday, August 13 – Monday, August 17, 2026, the program gives students an opportunity to:
- Move in early
- Meet new friends in a smaller community setting
- Explore campus before the semester begins
- Connect with student leaders and peers
- Participate in workshops and activities focused on student success
Who can participate?
All students are welcome. Both residential and commuter students are eligible to apply. International students, first-generation students, and students from diverse backgrounds are especially encouraged to participate.

Space is limited. Please apply to participate. If accepted into the program, you'll pay a $200 non-refundable program fee.
