Start Your Widener Journey Early with the 1821 Experience

Hosted by the Office of Student Inclusion & Belonging (OSIB), the 1821 Experience Pre-Orientation Program helps incoming students transition into college life before general orientation begins.

Taking place Thursday, August 13 – Monday, August 17, 2026, the program gives students an opportunity to:

  • Move in early
  • Meet new friends in a smaller community setting
  • Explore campus before the semester begins
  • Connect with student leaders and peers
  • Participate in workshops and activities focused on student success

Who can participate?

All students are welcome. Both residential and commuter students are eligible to apply. International students, first-generation students, and students from diverse backgrounds are especially encouraged to participate.
