1821 EXPERIENCE

The Office of Multicultural Student Affairs (MSA) Office is glad to provide a unique and immersive on-campus pre-orientation program. We invite new students to ease into the Widener Pride family by joining your peers for 5 days of workshops and activities designed to assist new students with transitioning to college life and preparing for a successful undergraduate career.

Move in early, meet new friends, explore campus, and connect with student leaders. Learn about "We're All Widener: You Belong Here", an expression created by students that exemplifies the university's commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and respect for all members of the Widener community. Eligible students will continue in the 1821 Experience Section of First-Year Seminar for the fall 2024 semester.

This program is open to all new undergraduate residential and commuter students seeking to get an early start to their Widener experience! First generation, international, and students from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to participate. Residential and commuter students are welcome!

Residential students participating in the 1821 Experience Pre-Orientation Program can also select to live in the 1821 Experience Living Learning Community (LLC) for their first year on campus. The 1821 Experience LLC is housed in a supportive community in Sharples Hall. Be sure to indicate interest in the application.

PROGRAM CAPACITY IS LIMITED! APPLY EARLY!
