The 1821 Experience
Connecting the campus community and one another.
The Multicultural Student Affairs (MSA) Office at Widener University hosts the 1821 Experience Pre-Orientation Program, an optional 3-day virtual immersion opportunity for first-year students prior to New Student Orientation. Commuter and resident students can get an early start in transitioning to a successful undergraduate career. The virtual 1821 Experience Pre-Orientation Program is designed to provide first-year students an introduction and insight into our campus and resources. The program enables new students to meet other first-year students, network with student leaders, and explore options for meaningful campus involvement, effective leadership and personal growth. Students will engage virtually in various fun activities and workshops designed to prepare them for college life.
A unique feature of the MSA 1821 Experience Pre-Orientation Program is an introduction to and awareness of "We're All Widener", an expression that exemplifies the university's commitment to diversity, inclusion, equity and respect for all members of the WU Pride community.
The 1821 Experience Pre-Orientation Program will be available online from Sunday, August 16 – Tuesday, August 18, 2020. Participants should be prepared to engage in a variety of activities between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. each day. The program is limited to 30 students.
