In Philly, we love sports... maybe a little too much some would say. Not us. We're passionate about our Eagles, Phillies, Flyers, Sixers, and the Union, who play just minutes from campus. And it's more than just love of the game. Our students gain exciting internships and jobs with these storied franchises.
Looking to stay fit and active in Philly? No sweat. The region has great outdoor recreational opportunities, including Fairmount Park, one of the largest urban parks in the country, plus wildlife refugees, trail systems, parks, and our own Taylor Arboretum, which is a great place to visit and conduct research.
Like to eat? Love to shop? You've come to the right place! This region has it all and for any budget. From food trucks and soft pretzel stands, to swanky restaurants and famous marketplaces, you'll definitely find something to savor. Plus there's great eateries around our campus, including Uno's (which takes your meal plan), and local favorites in nearby Media. When it comes to shopping, we have lots of options - from the largest mall on the east coast (King of Prussia) to boutiques in downtown Media.
If you want to stay a little closer to campus, you can explore our hometown of Chester, which is steeped in history and holds the title of oldest city in Pennsylvania. It's also home to Major League Soccer's Philadelphia Union, where our students often conduct exciting internships.
Located just minutes from campus are the quaint towns of Media and Swarthmore. Great for some local shopping, dining, arts, theater, or just a night out.
Our campus is a short drive to the beaches of New Jersey and Delaware, the Pocono Mountains' ski slopes, and the excitement of New York City and Washington, D.C.
