Girls in grades 9 -12 are invited to spend the day exploring engineering and computer science careers with volunteers from Widener's School of Engineering and from the Philadelphia section of the Society of Women Engineers.

Lunch will be provided for girls free of charge, but $5 contributions to help defray the cost of your lunch are greatly appreciated.

Parents’ Program 

Parents are invited to attend the Mini-Camp opening session from 9:30-10:00 AM and to stay for a separate program entitled “Sending Your Daughter to Engineering School.” The Parents’ Program will be conducted by personnel from our Admissions, Financial Aid, and Cooperative Education offices, and by Widener Engineering professors and volunteers from SWE. The program will include information on engineering school admissions policies, financial aid, and student life, as well as on career opportunities and what to expect if your daughter majors in engineering in college. Parents are welcome to stay for all or any part of the Parents’ program.

1:30 - 2:00 Widener Engineering Students Panel Discussion
2:15 - 4:00 Workshops: The Financial Aid Process, The Engineering Curriculum, SWE as a Support/Mentoring Network

Parents who attend the optional Parents' Program may purchase lunch tickets for $10 the morning of the camp.
