Widener celebrated the unveiling of the Jack & Nancy Dwyer School of Nursing with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Oct. 1. The School of Nursing has been renamed for alumnus Jack Dwyer ’78 and his wife Nancy in recognition of their $10 million transformational gift to Widener.

The Seeing Eye Recognizes 29 Volunteers with Service Awards and $55,000 in Scholarships

Widener nursing major Carolyn Roberti has been awarded a scholarship from The Seeing Eye, a service which provides specially bred and trained dogs to guide people who are blind. To qualify for this scholarship, students must have raised at least two Seeing Eye puppies, demonstrated a high level of academic achievement and community engagement.

And fueled by her own experiences with mental wellness and a desire to help others, Belle is now a graduate clinical psychology student working on her PsyD at Widener University.
