Widener Celebrates Excellence at 2025 Commencement

Emily Barrett, associate director of communications

Pride and joy filled the Chester campus as Widener celebrated the 2025 commencement season.

The university recognized this year’s graduates over the course of one week with five ceremonies for the Chester-based colleges and schools.

President Stacey Robertson addressed the graduates in each ceremony and reflected on the challenges and opportunities that await them in their next chapters. Robertson advised the graduates to use the connections they built at Widener and continuously seek and embrace curiosity, hard work, mindfulness and humility.

These foundations of both personal and professional success have weathered every technological revolution, every market disruption, every societal shift. Do these things, and I have every confidence that you will not merely navigate the changing world – you will help shape it for the better.” —President Stacey Robertson
