As the university's chief academic officer, the provost is responsible for working collaboratively with the associate provosts, school deans, faculty, staff, and administrators to achieve the institution’s academic priorities. The provost also has direct responsibility for all academic support units and works with the president, chief financial officer, and academic leaders allocating financial resources to address Widener’s academic and financial health.

The Purchasing Department handles purchasing and vendor relations for the University.

University Advancement includes an integrated team that is responsible for all the marketing and communication efforts of the university, as well as public relations, brand management, alumni outreach, annual giving, campaign fundraising, and obtaining donations from corporations, foundations, and private organizations.

The Office of University Relations directs internal and external communications for Widener University. The office manages the university brand, graphic standards, marketing, advertising, design, publications, website, and public relations. It publishes the Widener Magazine and the Widener Insider.

Widener Magazine captures stories and achievements of our alumni, professors, and students to inspire pride in the Widener community. The publication showcases how our community is changing the world and making groundbreaking contributions in a wide-range of fields, while celebrating our rich history, campus updates, and alumni milestones. The publication is created by Widener's University Relations office in partnership with the Alumni and Development offices.
