Library Administration

Library Administration handles internal and external administrative matters for the Wolfgram Memorial Library, providing managerial leadership, strategic planning, resource management, and direction of the overall operations of the Library.

Library and Information Services

The Library and Information Services (LIS) division meets the research, teaching, learning and information needs of the students, faculty and staff of Widener University. LIS is comprised of the Wolfgram Memorial Library and Information Technology Services departments – Client Success, Information Security Office, Systems Administration, Technical Resources, Teaching & Learning with Technology (TLT) and University Systems.

The mission of the Widener University Archives is to collect, preserve, and make available to researchers, print and digital materials such as papers, photographs, audiovisual items, and memorabilia related to the history of Widener, its predecessor institutions, and the Chester community.

Library Collections & Resource Management

Collections & Resource Management acquires, maintains and organizes the print and digital materials and resources the library provides for the students, faculty, staff, and community members.

Library Research and Instruction

Hours of Operation:

The Research & Instructional Services Department assists students, faculty, staff, and community members with their research needs by directing patrons to library materials, conducting one-on-one research help, and answering all questions.

Library Sexuality Archives

The mission of the Sexuality Archives is to collect, preserve, and make available to researchers, materials such as pamphlets, papers, newsletters, books, journals, and audiovisual materials related to the history of sexuality, sexology and sexuality education as well as Widener's human sexuality program.

Hours of Operation:

Library materials for use outside the building may be checked out at the circulation desk. They may also be returned to the book depositories at the circulation desk or placed in the outside drop located to the left of the front entrance.
