About Me

I'm excited to join Widener University and bring my background in government oversight and accountability into the classroom and my research. Over the course of my career assessing government programs and operations, I've seen firsthand how internal controls and sound processes can shape major decisions, drive organizational performance, and guard against the risk of fraud. At Widener, I look forward to grounding these concepts in real-world scenarios so students can evaluate evidence, identify risk, and apply accounting principles and technology to better understand how organizations operate.

What I enjoy most about teaching and research is making these connections. I want students to leave my courses with strong technical skills and knowledge, but also with the curiosity to look beyond the data and ask, "What is really happening here?" I'm eager to bring my experience to the next generation of business professionals, advance my research, and learn alongside my students and colleagues.

Research Interests

My research interests include the transparency of government communication during times of turmoil, the use of artificial intelligence for qualitative analysis in accounting and finance, and fraud detection and training effectiveness in government performance audits—grounded in my extensive experience in federal auditing and oversight.
