CEU: Reignite Connection: Engaging Clients and Students in Virtual Spaces through Psychodrama

Building connections in virtual spaces requires creativity, intention, and an awareness of group dynamics. This workshop invites participants to explore psychodramatic and sociometric techniques that promote engagement and group cohesion. Examples will be drawn from both therapeutic and educational contexts. This will be an interactive experience where participants will actively participate in demonstrations and adapt psychodrama and action methods for virtual settings.

CEU events and CEUs are free for current Widener students, faculty, and field instructors. Widener alumni need to pay $10; everyone else, $25. Payment will be collected at the end of the event. After the event, you will be emailed your certificate.
About the presenters:
Danielle Croom, LCSW is dedicated to creating spaces where individuals can recognize and embrace their inherent worth. Her professional experience spans residential treatment, nonprofit program management, education, and long-term outpatient therapy. In recent years, her work has centered on supporting the trans and queer communities, celebrating their creativity, resilience, and self-assurance—particularly honoring the vital contributions of Black trans women. Her practice is grounded in understanding how systemic forces shape everyday experiences.In her administrative role, Croom emphasizes relationships as the foundation for helping students achieve their goals. She builds trust by honoring each individual as the expert of their own needs while creating collaborative spaces for exploration and growth. Deeply attentive to how students’ identities intersect with their educational journeys, she strives to cultivate imagination, love, care, and freedom beyond binaries.
