Widener Day Virtual Open House
- Prospective Undergraduate Students
Designed to give both prospective and admitted students a look into the Widener experience. The program includes sessions on each academic area of study, outside of the classroom options, and student-led virtual tours. Representatives from campus departments such as Student Life, Athletics, Career Services (co-op), the Honors Program, and various others will be present. We look forward to welcoming you to our campus virtually.
After registration, you will receive the links and an agenda 48-hours prior to the event via email. Family members are encouraged to attend with your student!
But wait, there's more. For our Fall 2021 admitted students, if you attend Widener Day on January 30 AND deposit to Widener by March 1, you will be considered to receive one of a limited number of Visit Awards in the amount of $1,000 per year.
Please attend as many sessions as you feel necessary while also enjoying your breakfast and morning coffee.

10:30-11:00 OR 12:00-12:30 Admissions, Scholarships, and More: This whole Widener thing sounds great! What are my next steps to become one of these awesome Widener students? Come to this session to learn directly from the Admissions staff how to apply, what scholarships are available, and what you should be doing in the coming months.
11:00-11:30 Pathway Programs: Are you interested in continuing your education beyond an undergraduate major or want to teach at a secondary level? These sessions will give you the information you need to see how Widener can help you on your pathway.

11:00-11:30 OR 12:30-1:00 Living at Widener with Residence Hall Tour: Hear directly from a member of our Residence Life team about on-campus living and our various Living Learning Communities (LLCs) at Widener. Parents, we think you should attend this session to speak to the actual people who will be there for your student when you can’t be. We know you have questions. Students, you can come too to ease some of your fears about living away from home. The best part, this session takes place in the lounge of one of our first-year residence halls!
11:30-12:00 Academic Support Services: Learn more about student accessibility and other support services available to you as a Widener student.
11:30-12:00 How we can help score your dream job: Our Career Design and Development office will walk you through the steps to get from your first day at Widener to the first day of your career (and beyond). We’ll discuss items such as experiential learning opportunities, putting together a resume, and acing an interview.
12:00-12:30 Honors Program in General Education (HPGE): Meet the Director of the Honors Program and current HPGE students to learn more about what it means to be an Honors student at Widener.
12:30-12:50 Campus Philly: Join our Campus Philly partners to learn more about the opportunities available to you in the Philadelphia region as a college student at Widener.
1:00-1:30 Widener Pride Athletics: Do you want to be a part of our (athletics) Pride? Here you will meet one of our coaches to discover the demands of being a Division III athlete at Widener. (Please note: you may not be able to meet with the actual coach of your sport, but you will have the opportunity to meet a coach of one of our teams.)
