Thayer Hall is part of the first-year quad area. The building houses about 100 first-year students on single-gender floors.

Thayer Hall is home to The Lab and STEM Den learning communities for the 2023-2024 academic year, the co-ed building also features air-conditioning, lounge spaces, a study room, and a vending area.
