A New Era of Simulation Learning

The Anna Mosco and Marietta Borinski ’80 Simulation Laboratory is an expansion of the Nursing Simulation Center, bringing nursing students into the next generation of clinical education. The upgraded space features virtual reality and haptics technology, hospital beds, and advanced equipment, allowing students to practice realistic scenarios—including ones they might not encounter in traditional rotations. Funded by alumni Marietta ’80 and Michael ’82 Borinski and honoring Marietta’s mother, nurse Anna “Annie” Mosco, the lab provides a safe environment for students to build skills and confidence, preparing them to enter the profession capable, knowledgeable, and inspired by past generations of compassionate caregivers.

Hear From Our Nursing Students

This space has been such an important part of my academic career because it taught me confidence before I had to look a real patient in the eyes.

What a great refresher before graduation and NCLEX!

The simulation lab is helpful because it gives us a more critical understanding of what the nurse should do.
