About Me

I am retired (early retirement) from the position of Full Professor of Sociology at East Georgia State College where I worked for over 27 years and served as sociology faculty, Director of First-Year Experience, and Director of Institutional Research. In that capacity, I developed and taught sociology courses in face-to-face, hybrid, and asynchronous online venues. Over the past year, I have also served as adjunct faculty of sociology for the University of New Mexico, Richard Bland College of William and Mary, Widener University, and Wilkes Community College.

I hold a Master of Arts degree in Sociology from Georgia Southern University as well as a Master of Science degree in First-Year Studies (terminal degree in the discipline) from Kennesaw State University. I have additional master's level course work in education from Kent State University and Fairleigh Dickenson University as well as doctoral-level training in higher education administration from Georgia Southern University.
