About Me

As a first-generation college graduate, I have always been driven by a passion for learning and personal growth. Growing up in Northeast Philadelphia, I entered the workforce right after high school, beginning a career in the insurance industry. While working full-time and raising a family, I pursued higher education, earning a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Neuman University and an MBA from Widener University. Shortly after completing my MBA, I earned a CPA. In 2024, I completed a Doctorate Degree, with a concentration in Finance from PACE University, in New York City.

Throughout my career, I had the opportunity to lead two major projects, transitioning legacy accounting systems to the SAP platform, which further honed my expertise in both accounting and technology. My dedication and hard work eventually led me to the role of CFO for a business unit, where I was responsible for setting strategy, monitoring cash flow, overseeing financial results, and managing budgets and forecasts, among other special projects.

In addition to my corporate career, I have always valued education and began teaching as an adjunct at Widener University. I started teaching an Accounting SAP Technology course and have since expanded my teaching portfolio to include Management Accounting, Fraud Investigation, and Introduction to Business and a graduate accounting course. My commitment to serving others extends beyond the classroom, as I have volunteered my financial expertise to organizations like the National SIDS organization and local youth sports leagues.

Research Interests

I am actively researching Credit Risk Transfer products that are issued by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (GSEs). The products are designed to transfer default risk off the GSEs balance sheet protecting these entities from financial failure. The research focuses on the liquidity and returns of these products. I plan to expand the research to include the marketability of these products through high-interest rate time periods.
