A pre-medical imaging associate's degree is the gateway to completing required coursework needed to apply for medical imaging programs to land roles performing X-rays, ultrasounds, MRIs, CT scans, or other imaging techniques. Here, you'll develop the foundational skills needed to you enter a medical imaging program, while living on campus and enjoying all Widener has to offer.
When you complete Widener's PMI program, you'll have the prerequisites necessary to continue your education by applying to Widener's radiologic technology and diagnostic medical sonography programs.

There, you'll have the opportunity to study part time in a hybrid format. Whether you plan to pivot careers, land that promotion, or seek a more advanced role, the program's flexibility allows you to do just that.

Our pre-medical imaging pathway provides the prerequisites you’ll need to apply for admission into our radiologic technology "rad tech" or diagnostic medical sonography "DMS" programs at Widener or elsewhere. That means you won’t skip a beat as you take your expertise to the next level. Pursuing an advanced degree gives you specialized training specific to your area of interest—and prepares you for greater career opportunities and earning potential.
Please note that completing this PMI associate's degree does not guarantee you acceptance into Widener's rad tech or DMS programs.

Applying to Widener is easy—and free! Simply complete our Widener Application or the Common Application. You'll also need your official high school transcript and either an admissions essay or your SAT/ACT scores. We're a test-optional school, so there's no need to submit both.
