Campus Facilities Information

  • Athletics & Recreation Facilities: Pride Rec hours are TBD. Visit their webpage or @priderecreation on Instagram for updates on hours, events, and classes.
  • Dining at Widener: Visit @widener_dining on Instagram for dining facilities updates.
  • Campus Safety: The Campus Safety department remains open 24/7 and can be reached at 610-499-4200. Visit @widenercampussafety on Instagram for department updates.
  • Counseling and Psychological Services: Students should contact the Campus Safety department at 610-499-4200 in the event of an emergency. Students who had appointments canceled because of the weather should contact CAPS at 610-499-1261 on the next normal business day.
  • Health Services: Students should contact the Campus Safety department at 610-499-4200 in the event of an emergency. Students who had appointments canceled because of the weather should contact the Student Health Services department at 610-499-1183 on the next normal business day.
  • University Center: The building will be open, but some services may not be available.
  • Wolfgram Memorial Library: The library will announce any changes to hours of operation on the library webpage. You can also follow them on social media on their Wolfgram Memorial Library Facebook page, @askwolfgram on Twitter, and @wolfgramlibrary on Instagram.

  • Student Programs: Information for student events hosted by student organization or administration departments can be found by visiting Experience Widener powered by Modern Campus Involve and selecting ‘events.’ Additionally, contact information for each student club, organization, or event can be found in Experience Widener by assessing the individual event or student organization’s page.
  • Other University Events: For specific event information, contact the faculty member or organization hosting the event.

Normal Operations
No major incidents or inclement weather occurring to impact university operations. All classes are in-person, offices and university buildings are open.

Modified Operations
Certain students and employees are required to report to campus. This is determined by professor, supervisor, and/or coaches’ discretion to require in-person attendance. Faculty and coaches are responsible for notifying their student/student athletes.

Remote Operations
All university operations are either canceled or continue in a remote setting. For students and student athletes, the decision for cancellation or remote is up to the professor and/or coach. 

The university will shift to all-remote operations in the event of inclement weather. We will announce this shift as early as information allows, should it appear the weather will create difficult driving conditions the following day. This will give staff and faculty time to plan ahead.

All notifications about class updates—whether delayed, shifting to remote, or cancelled—will be communicated through Omnilert, the campus alert system. To view your alert notification settings, log into Omnilert.

In addition, updates will be posted on the Widener University Facebook page, Twitter page, Instagram page and website, and shared by email.
