This presentation will describe what Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is and how it is used in practice settings. ART was developed in 2008 by Laney Rosenzweig, LMFT. Nicole Adelman, MSS, LCSW, Widener Adjunct Faculty and owner of Nicole Adelman Counseling, will discuss the research associated with how eye movements and voluntary changes in the client’s mind with well-established therapies like Gestalt, Psychodynamic Therapy and Guided Imagery work together to support healing and recovery. By the end of the presentation participants will understand the physiological trauma response, and how Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) works to make changes in the brain. Additionally, participants will deepen knowledge regarding who is offering ART, and how to recognize who is most appropriate candidates for this intervention.
About the Presenter: Nicole Adelman is a licensed clinical social worker with almost 25 years in health care including hospice, home care and palliative care.
