At Social Work Counseling Services (SWCS), we provide individual and group counseling and local resource navigation at no cost. Graduate social work interns provide services under the supervision of experienced, licensed, and professional staff trained in trauma informed practice.
Clinic Programs
Social Work Counseling Services offers services by appointment only in our office on campus and via Telehealth. We can occasionally travel to local agencies within Chester. Services provided include:
- Individual Counseling
- Support & Educational Groups
- Group Therapy
- Local Resource Navigation
We provide services to adults 18 and over and do not offer crisis management services.
Costs
Social Work Counseling Services offers pro bono clinical services to local residents. There is no fee for services.

SWCS is the home to Widener Center for Social Work Education groundbreaking ADEI initiative that supports Widener University full-time, campus, advanced standing, MSW students in accessing LCSW Supervision post-graduation at no additional cost!
Select graduates of our on-campus advanced standing MSW program may receive pro bono clinical supervision as they seek to obtain licensure in Pennsylvania. Widener is the only school in the region to offer this trailblazing program. Learn more about the opportunity.
