About Me

I have over 30 years of social work practice experience in clinical and administrative roles, as well as in academic graduate level roles. I enjoy teaching in-person and online, utilizing a variety of teaching methods to engage students in a student-centered and experiential learning process. I strive to model the ethos of social work values and ethics in my interactions with others, whether engaged in teaching, mentoring, collaborating, or in social work practice with individuals, families, groups, and communities.

I am committed toward social justice advocacy, particularly around matters involving diversity, equity and inclusion. I have been an active member of NASW-PA throughout my social work career and am currently serving on the NASW-PA Ethics Committee.  I am involved in volunteer leadership positions in my community serving youth and families.  I have facilitated local, regional, state and national presentations on topics of clinical supervision, field instruction, crisis intervention, social media, self-care and ethics.  I am excited to be a part of Widener’s Center for Social Work Education and am committed to work to empower others through learning, teaching, modeling, advocacy and service.
