When the core academic year pauses June through August and mid-December through January, Widener University opens its indoor and outdoor spaces to the community. Whether you’re hosting a conference, athletic tournament, performance, or private event, our versatile campus spaces and dedicated staff are here to make your vision a success.

Please note that Widener's academic and student events are given priority reserving facilities. We will work with you to find an alternative space or date whenever possible.

Memorial Field
Outdoor field ideal for festivals, athletic events, or concerts
Alumni Auditorium
Perfect for presentations or performances up to 495 guests
Lathem Hall
Great for receptions, luncheons, meetings, or small conferences for up to 200 guests
Webb Room
Located in the University Center, ideal for mid-sized meetings, catered luncheons, or speaker sessions up to 80 guests

Rates are determined based on space type, size, and intended use. Surcharges may apply for custodial support, housekeeping services, or equipment needs, depending on the event. All applicable charges will be reviewed during the planning process.
Additional Offerings
Campus spaces are equipped to support a wide range of event needs. Common features include:

- Podiums or lecterns
- Basic lighting controls
- Guest Wi-Fi access
Additional technology or equipment requests can be noted in the External Event Request Form, and our team will confirm availability or coordinate rentals as needed.

Widener University provides 24/7 campus safety monitoring, so everyone using our facilities—day or night—can feel secure. While no environment can be completely risk-free, our strong track record and proactive safety measures ensure a welcoming and protected experience for all visitors.

Widener partners exclusively with Aramark to provide on-campus dining and catering. Aramark can deliver meals to your event location or host groups in our dining facilities.
Our Catering Manager will help tailor menu options to your event’s size, schedule, and budget.
Overnight lodging is available during summer for camps and extended programs.
- Standard Room: $60 per bed, per night (linen package available upon request
- Suite with Kitchenette: $80 per bed, per night (linen package available upon request)
All guests stay in secure residence halls with card-access entry. Campus Safety is present throughout your stay, and parking arrangements are coordinated in advance.
Events involving minors must meet additional supervision and documentation requirements under Widener’s Children on Campus and Working with Children Policy. University staff will work with each group to ensure compliance with all institutional standards.
