The Administration & Finance Department is responsible for the financial and operational management of Widener University, as well as the implementation and oversight of Widener University policy and procedure in accordance with government regulations.

The Adult and Continuing Studies Admissions Office, as part of the Center for Graduate & Continuing Studies, provides assistance to students interested in applying for our adult flexible associate's and bachelor's degree programs, as well as professional development and Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) courses.

African & African-American Studies offers an interdisciplinary, critical approach to explore the histories, cultures, and experiences of African descended peoples.

Army ROTC is a leadership development program run by the Military Science Department. Students develop their leadership abilities by learning critical-thinking skills; the value of character, competence and courage; self-discipline; and team building.

The Widener University Band program affords undergraduate students the opportunity to perform in a variety of concert and athletic band settings throughout the school year. Participation is based on audition with the Director.

The Athletics Department is committed to attracting, supporting, and cultivating student-athletes of scholarship, character, and leadership. They promote a socially diverse, highly competitive environment enhancing the student-athletes' living and learning experience while engaging in both civic and campus activities.

The Biochemistry Department provides a solid foundation in the sciences, emphasizing the molecular, analytical, and quantitative aspects of living systems.

The Biofeedback Clinic and Certification Center is a community clinic that provides psychophysiological interventions for such stress-related problems as anxiety, teeth grinding, insomnia, headaches, and test anxiety.

The Biology Department incorporates disciplines from a variety of scientific fields such as genetics, zoology, and global biodiversity. Students who study biology at Widener graduate with more than a degree; they emerge as critical thinkers who are skilled in the scientific process and have a passion for making discoveries of their own.

The Biomedical Engineering Department provides a broad-based education that combines engineering and medical technology. Students have easy access to modern, well-equipped laboratories and are exposed to real-world aspects of science foundations and engineering fundamentals, as well as practical applications of biomedical engineering. Undergraduates have numerous opportunities to participate in leading-edge research to enhance the quality of life.

The Widener Bookstore is your place to find anything from apparel to show off your pride to materials to further your academic career. The Bookstore can be easily accessed online as well as at our on-campus storefront to give current and incoming students as well as alumni and family various methods to go about their purchases.

The Office of the Bursar manages the cashiering, e-bills, and student account functions of the university. For example, the bursar is responsible for crediting student's account with any financial aid they receive and for the collection of outstanding tuition accounts.

Widener's Campus Safety department works to protect Widener students through around-the-clock monitoring of criminal activity and activating crisis management.

The Campus1 Card enables students, faculty, and staff to access many services on campus, in addition to deposit money to purchase goods and services on campus and at some local off-campus businesses.

The Office of Career Design and Development prepares students to embark on a successful and fulfilling career. Career advisors offer personalized support and empower students to connect their passions with meaningful work that supports their career and personal aspirations.

The Center for Civic Engagement fosters co-curricular opportunities to educate, empower, and equip Widener students to become personally and socially responsible leaders and continually builds collaborative campus and community partnerships to further the university’s civic mission.

Meet the Team

The Center for Education houses a variety of programs that lead to teacher certification and advanced certification and leadership in education. Our undergraduate and post-baccalaureate teacher preparation programs are designed to prepare community-engaged teachers. Graduate programs at the certificate, master’s and doctoral level prepare specialists, counselor educators, and leaders for both K-12 and higher education settings.
