Supplemental Materials
Widener's goal is to provide students with the resources to succeed. Assistantships and scholarships are offered to qualified individuals enrolled in an engineering master’s program. Awards are competitive and range from partial to full financial coverage, and additional stipends are available to students conducting faculty assisted research. Applicants can indicate their interest in an assistantship or scholarship within their online application.
Anniversary Scholarship
The Anniversary Scholarship was created during the School of Engineering's 150th anniversary to celebrate the long history of excellence in engineering education at Widener by supporting merit-based graduate scholarships for thesis students. The fund began with contributions from faculty and staff and has grown with contributions from alumni and university donors.
Graduate Assistantships
Eligible students can participate in research projects or assist faculty in executing teaching assignments for a semester as part of a graduate assistantship. The assistantship generally requires 20 hours of service a week and the tuition assistance is considered taxable income in accordance with current Internal Revenue Service regulations.
