Biomedical Engineering Labs

The Biomedical Engineering Department has laboratories that allow students to get hands-on experience with biomedical imaging, biomaterials, and cell and tissue engineering. Students can conduct research and experiments that they can use for senior projects.

Chemical and Materials Engineering Labs

The Chemical and Materials Engineering Department has laboratories that provide students with hands-on and interdisciplinary experience. Students can conduct research and perform experiments using state-of-the-art equipment such as a surface area/porosity analyzer. Students can use their research for their senior projects.

Civil Engineering Labs

The Civil Engineering Department laboratories are used for students to gain an understanding of structural materials and environmental engineering and surveying. Students can conduct research with state-of-the-art equipment that will help prepare them for the workforce.

Electrical Engineering Labs

The electrical engineering labs are located on the third floor of Kirkbride Hall. All of these laboratories are used by undergraduate students majoring in electrical engineering. These laboratories provide hands-on experience for students to design, assemble, research, and test electrical and electronic circuits and photonic systems. Most of these labs also include DC power supply Oscilloscope and Digital Multimeter equipment.

Electric Engineering lab at Widener University has 12 work stations for students and houses many tools.

Mechanical Engineering Labs

The Mechanical Engineering Department has laboratories located in Kirkbride Hall for undergraduate students. Students can conduct multidisciplinary research and work with 3D printers, and atomic force microscopes and have access to a virtual reality computing environment for flow simulations.

Mechanical Engineering Machine Shop contains a variety of tools and work stations.

Robotics Engineering Labs

The Robotics Engineering Department has a lab that is equipped with multiple robotic arms and mobile robots for teaching and outreach activities. Students are able to get hands-on experience with state of the art equipment and learn how to conduct research.

Robotics Engineering Criswell Lab includes a variety of equipment to support teaching and research activities.
