Alpha Chi Sigma is a co-ed professional fraternity that works to bind its members with a tie of true and lasting friendship, while striving for the advancement of chemistry both as a science and as a profession, and aid its members in attaining their ambitions as chemists. Undergraduate and graduate criminal justice students
Alpha Phi Sigma recognizes academic achievement of undergraduate and graduate criminal justice students. Clubs and organizations at Widener are welcome to everyone. To apply for membership, undergraduate students must have completed four criminal justice courses and have a minimum GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale, with a minimum GPA of 3.2 in criminal justice courses. Graduate students must also have completed four criminal justice courses (three undergraduate courses can count towards the 4 course minimum) and have a minimum GPA of 3.4. The Widener chapter of Amnesty International is dedicated to ensuring people throughout the world are guaranteed their basic human rights. The group meets to discuss current issues related to human rights abuses, brings in speakers, and engages in advocacy campaigns. The Anthropology Club is a community for all majors, minors, and those interested in the field of anthropology. The club promotes diversity and cultural awareness on campus, hosting activities and fundraisers. The group also travels domestically and abroad to learn about other cultures firsthand. Undergraduate students
The Beta Beta Beta Biological Honor Society admits students with an overall GPA of 2.75 or higher and a GPA of 3.0 or higher in biology courses. To join, students must be nominated by the biology faculty, have status as a second semester sophomore, and have made at least one biological research presentation in a public forum. Biology students engaged in collaborative research with faculty members may also apply for research grants through the national Beta Beta Beta organization. Members of the Biochemistry Club are biochemistry, biology, chemistry, and engineering majors who want to explore the application of science in everyday life. Activities include lunchtime talks from research scientists with Q&A sessions, science-themed movie nights followed by interactive discussions with faculty, and field trips to local science-related venues such as the Franklin Institute and Mutter Museum.
Clubs and organizations at Widener are welcome to everyone. The Biology Club is open to any student who has an interest in biology. The club conducts monthly noon meetings (where pizza is a never-changing fare) that serve as social gatherings and informational assemblies to conduct the business of the club. The Biology Club takes field trips to places such as the National Zoo in Washington D.C. and aquariums in Baltimore or Camden.

The club engages in fun and exciting science activities with area school children and teachers to help spark a love of science among today’s youth. The Computer Science Club is a student-driven group that provides members with an opportunity to host social events such as game tournaments, movie nights, and the end-of-year barbecue. The Criminal Justice Organization is a club for criminal justice majors, minors, or others interested in the field to meet each other and learn more about criminal justice issues and careers. The club hosts the ongoing Crime Film Series on campus and runs the Widener chapter of No More © (together we can end domestic violence and sexual assault). The Engineering Geology Club is for students who are fascinated by the geologic environment and the impact of humans on the natural world. Employing a historic geologic perspective, the club studies such topics as minerals, gems, rocks, and earth processes. The ENVR Club is an organization striving to promote conservation, make sustainable changes around campus, educate members about the environment and the natural world, and increase environmental advocacy and engagement on Widener’s campus and the surrounding Chester area. The club provides a space for all majors who want to learn sustainable habits and make positive changes to the environment. It will allot students time and opportunities to go outside, enjoy nature, and destress from daily, hectic class schedules. Members are encouraged to participate in all events, for example nature walks, community clean-ups and service projects, educational field trips, and social mixers. The Equity in Computing Club at widener helps connect and gather our marginalized students in tech. A club where we secure and build social connections and provide opportunities for our members. The Gospel Choir gives several musical performances throughout the year both on and off campus, including performances at the Martin Luther King Memorial Service and Jesse Anderson Awards Dinner at Widener, and songfests with other local universities and colleges. Students receive academic credit for participation. The group rehearses weekly and offers at least one concert a semester for both the university and local community. Clubs and organizations at Widener are welcome to everyone. Iota Iota Iota (Triota) is a national honors society that encourages and supports scholarship and excellence in women’s studies. Membership is open to gender & women's studies (GWS) majors or minors and to any undergraduate or graduate student at Widener with a strong interest in GWS. Undergraduates must have achieved third-semester standing with at least 6 hours of GWS courses and a GPA of at least 3.0. Graduates must have a demonstrated record of research or activism in gender-related issues.

Led by internationally recognized jazz artist John Vanore, the Jazz Ensemble is built on the model of the contemporary jazz orchestra. The repertoire is based on compositions from the libraries of Thad Jones, Woody Herman, Maynard Ferguson, Oliver Nelson, Vanore, and others. Improvisation workshops and use of the recording studio round out the Jazz Ensemble experience. The group rehearses weekly and offers concerts for both the university and local community. Keepin' It Trill is Widener's student-run a cappella vocal group. They rehearse weekly and perform a variety of a cappella selections such as "Send My Love" by Adele, Let Me Love You/Closer Mashup, "Run To You" by The Pentatonix, and have recorded Widener's Alma Mater - "Blue and Gold" - by John Vanore. Lambda Pi Eta is open to undergraduate (full-time and extended learning) students who have completed 60 credits total (cumulative 3.0 GPA) and completed 12 communication studies classes (3.25 GPA). Graduate students may petition to apply upon completion of 12-credits of communication studies-related courses.
