Anthropology is a major for those who want to explore foreign cultures and patterns of human behavior in all of their rich diversity.

The anthropology program's expansive curriculum will prepare you for a rewarding career by helping you earn a degree structured around your interests and professional aspirations. All anthropology students at Widener design a tailored curricular path drawing on the four subfields of anthropology.

Here, students can choose to follow a general course of study or an accelerated 3 year pre-professional pathway. Students take courses in each of the four fields of anthropology and choose advanced electives that cater to their individual interests. The program is designed to be flexible, encouraging students to adopt a dual major or minor in complementary fields of study.

With opportunities for research collaboration with faculty, and small class sizes, before long your professors and classmates will feel like a second family.  You'll have the opportunity to meet with a faculty advisor regularly to discuss goals and objectives and keep you on track for graduation.
